- My favorite museum was the National World War II Museum
- Its a few blocks away from the French Quarter.
- The main reaason this nice meseum is here is because of Andrew Higgins who designed and built the landing craft credited for winning World War II.
- The Higgins boat only make up a small part of the museum.
- There are many short movies about the war and many relics.
- The museum is set up like a oneway street so you start at the beging of the war and walk though till the end so you wont miss anything.
- $20 to get in and you can find coupons on brochures.
- I also went to the old U.S mint. Its a big old building and its free to get in but there isnt much there thats why its free.
- Unless you collector of old money not much to see. The best part for me was two old light bulbs over a display.
- A better place to goto for old money is a Antique store on Royal Street plus they had antique guns mostly old flint lock type.
- Next door to the St. Louis Cathedral in Jackson Square is the Louisiana State Museum .
- $6 to get in and worth it .
- First floor is about the native people and the first euopean.
- Second floor Louisiana Purchase and the growth of New Orleans.
- Third floor is mostly Slavery, Cilvil War and it being a port city trading goods with the world
